Another mild October day 7 - 13C rain at first then some sunny spells followed by rain again in the evening, light variable winds.

Marton Mere LNR - Woodcock, 125 pink footed geese, 2 wigeon, 2 tree sparrows, grey wagtail, 14 long tailed tits, 12 linnets, 2 Cetti's warblers

New South Promenade - Great crested grebe

Staining Nook - Goldcrest

Stanley Park - 44 gadwall, 17 shovelers, 4 great crested grebes

Marton Mere LNR - Little egret, 23 whooper swans (17S, 6N), wigeon, water rail, 7 mistle thrushes (6E, 1S), 2 coal tits, 14 long tailed tits

Monday 26th October

Town Centre - 2 Peregrines (also seen there last Friday)

Marton Mere LNR - 4 Wigeon, snipe, 3 coal tits, 10,000 starlings (roosted)

Stanley Park - 44 Gadwall, teal (unusual here), 22 shovelers, 49 tufted ducks

Sunday 25th October

Marton Mere LNR - 4 Wigeon, snipe, grey wagtail (N), 5 Cetti's warblers, 3 water rails, 3 coal tits, 3 goldcrests, kestrel, migrant hawker dragonfly, red admiral butterfly
