A slightly cooler than average day for late June 13 - 16C mostly cloudy with sunnier spells later and a brisk westerly wind

Solaris Centre - Woodpigeon (very scarce here this was 1st record for the year)

Warbreck Hill - Great Tit (nest is now thought to be a very late brood rather than a rare second brood)

Weekend 25/26th June

Abut average temperatures for late June 12- 17C sunny at  first becoming cloudier and windier with prolonged rain on Sunday afternoon. Moderate westerly wind.

Sunday 26th June

Warbreck Hill - Heron (S), great tit (feeding young in nest box - a very late brood or a second brood? which would be unusual)

Saturday 25th June

Heron's Reach - 2 Roe deer, emerald damselflies

Devonshire Road Rock Gardens - Sparrowhawk, oystercatcher (over), great spotted woodpecker, blackcap, 2 chiffchaffs, 3 frogs, 4 large skippers, 3 meadow browns, 2 speckled woods, dead mans fingers fungus

Ashfield Road - Meadow brown, nursery web spider, many blue tailed damselflies, several azure damselflies

Marton Mere LNR - Lesser whitethroat, 4 Cetti's warblers, great crested grebe (with juvenile)

New South Promenade - Grey Seal, 12 Gannets (plunge diving), small tortoiseshell butterfly

Undisclosed site - Grass snake

Heron's Reach - Roe deer, Bee orchids, 45 hybrid marsh orchids, common spotted orchid

North Promenade - at least 5 Bottlenose dolphins, grey seal

Warbreck Water Tower - Peregrine

New South Promenade - Puffin (very scarce off the Fylde coast)

Washington Avenue - Wool carder bee

Reads Avenue - Wool carder bee

Warbreck Hill - Sand dart moth (very scarce away from sand dunes), Millar moth (new for garden)
Peregrine falcon
