Starr Gate - Grey seal, 335 common scoters, 12 Sanwich terns, 8 shelducks (S) 31 Manx shearwaters

Thursday 7th August

A mild mostly sunny day with average temperatures 12 - 19C and light onshore winds.

Kingscote Park - 3 Swifts, 2 swallows, frog, 3 migrant hawker dragonflies; butterflies, 10 speckled woods, 2 large whites, 2 small whites, green veined white, common blue; moths, straw dot, Agriphila straminella, heart & dart; 2 7-spot ladybirds, many harvestman spiders

Rain in the morning then brightening to a warm afternoon 15 - 20C, light offshore wind

New South Promenade - 2 Common sand stars, queen scallop, moon jellyfish (large), 2 5-bearded rocklings, many sand gobies, many common prawns, many brown shrimps, several blennies, 2 necklace shells, several pieces of dead mans fingers
