Blackpool Zoo - Fox (evidence of presence in car park)
North Shore - 3 Purple sandpipers
Starr Gate - 250 Lapwings, 60 redshanks
Ashworth Road - Iceland gull
Saturday 17th January
Marton Mere LNR - Firecrest, treecreeper, stonechat, 27 long tailed tits, 3 Cetti's warblers, 22 gadwall, 2 goldeneye, 3 water rails, little grebe, great crested grebe
Stanley Park - Great spotted woodpecker, treecreeper
Staining Nook - Jay, woodcock
Friday 16th January
Marton Mere LNR - Dusky warbler (only 3rd record for Lancashire - should be in SE Asia at this time of year), Iceland gull, long eared owl, 1500 pink footed geese (S), 4 cetti's warblers
Starr Gate - 12250 Common scoters (S), 5 red breasted mergansers (S), 2 shags (S), great northern diver (S), goldeneye (S)
North Blackpool Pond Trail Kincraig Lake - Water rail, 3 gadwall, 24 teal
Lawson's Wetland - 4 Snipe
The Great grey shrike continues to linger just south of our southern border at Queensway
