Marton Mere LNR - Bittern, buzzard, kestrel, great spotted woodpecker

Town Centre - 2 Peregrines

Starr Gate - 5 Grey seals, Pomarine skua (N), Arctic skua (S), roseate tern (S), 148 Sandwich terns, 3 great crested grebes

Devonshire Road Rock Gardens - Sparrowhawk, moorhen, whitethroat

Saturday 22nd July

Stanley Park - 13 Swifts, nuthatch, grey wagtail, goldcrest

Marton Mere LNR - 3 Wigeon, peregrine (SE), buzzard, kestrel, 2 Cetti's warblers, fungus gnat Sciara hemerioides (probably first record for the Fylde)

Starr Gate - 6 Grey seals,15 eiders, 1400 common scoters, red throated diver (S), 6 Manx shearwaters, 11 gannets, 2 golden plovers, 2 black tailed godwits, bar tailed godwit, 9 whimbrels, 7 curlews, 66 Sandwich terns, guillemot

Friday 20th July

Town Centre - 3 Peregrines

Starr Gate - 620 Common scoters, 30 Manx shearwaters, 12 gannets, 4 golden plovers, 6 whimbrels, 3 kittiwakes, 34 Sandwich terns, 14 common terns, Arctic tern

Stanley Park - 3 Great crested grebes

Marton Mere LNR - Bittern

Wednesday 19th October

A mild day for mid October 10 - 13C mostly sunny with a light north westerly wind

New South Promenade - 755 Common scoters, 500 oystercatchers, 300 sanderlings, 50 dunlins, 28 eiders, 4 red throated divers

Marton Mere LNR - 9 Whooper swans, stonechat, 7 redwings, 8 gadwall, kestrel, 2 blackcaps, chiffchaff, goldcrest, coal tit

Marton - Sparrowhawk

Solaris Centre - several Drone flies (Eristalis tenax) - a species of hoverfly

Recently - Stanley Park - 2 Nuthatches

No news for Tuesday 18th October

EVENT - North Blackpool Pond Trail - Tuesday 1st Nov 10am - 12 noon - Autumn Explorer - Children's Activity. Your chance to find out about hibernation and how you can help wildlife during the winter. A warm day 3 - 15C sunny virtually no wind

Marton Mere LNR - 2 Little ringed plovers, 5 common sandpipers, 3 grasshopper warblers, little grebe, 6 whitethroats, several sedge warblers, buzzard, 2 linnets, water rail, 14 pink footed geese (N)

Marton - Blackcap

New South Promenade - Grey seal, 3 yellow wagtails (N), 3 red throated divers, whimbrel (N)

Town Centre - Grey wagtail

North Shore - 6 Sandwich terns, 3 eiders

Gynn Gardens - 4 Willow warblers

Stanley Park - Pied flycatcher, 2 treecreepers

Staining Nook - Buzzard
Hoverfly approaching dandelion - Solaris Centre
