Marton Mere LNR - Jack snipe, g0ldeneye, 2 buzzards, 8 stock doves, 17 redwings, 4 fieldfares, 2 Cetti's warblers, great spotted woodpecker

Stanley Park - 28 Gadwall, 21 shovelers, kestrel

Starr Gate - 2 Scaup

EVENT - Marton Mere LNR Saturday 10th December 10am - 3pm Practical conservation day. Give volunteering at the nature reserve a try, get involved with a practical conservation task. This might be removing vegetation, clearing pathways or renovating benches or hides. The day's project will be confirmed prior to the event. Free but please book at marton.mere@blackpool.gov.uk

Temperatures near normal for mid-January 3 - 6C mostly overcast with showers, moderate south easterly wind

New South Promenade - Kittiwake (N), 2 pintails (S)

Marton Mere LNR - 6 Pochards, 3 goldeneyes, 29 shovelers, 2 long eared owls, 9 stock doves, 4 mistle thrushes, 2 coal tits

Lawson's Wetland - 3 jack snipe, stonechat
