A chilly day for February -2 - 5C sunny with very light winds

North Shore Go-kart track - 4 Purple sandpipers, 140 redshanks, 50 turnstones

Marton Mere LNR - Treecreeper, great spotted woodpecker (drumming), 23 linnets, 30 fieldfares, 6 stock doves, 3 goldcrests, Cetti's warbler, water rail

Lawson's Wetland - Stonechat, 2 reed buntings

Another cooler than average February day -2 - 4C sunny spells with a brisk northerly wind

New South Promenade - Eider, 3 red throated divers

Starr Gate - 3 Harbour porpoises, 7 red throated divers 

Marton Mere LNR - Firecrest, 4 siskins, little egret, 5 Cetti's warblers, 20 fieldfares, 2 stock doves

Monday 2nd February

A colder than average day for February 1 - 4C mostly sunny with a cold moderate northerly wind

Marton Mere LNR - Fox, Iceland gull, treecreeper, 2 jack snipe, 10 snipe, 2 woodcocks, 30 fieldfares, stock dove, water rail, 2 Cetti's warbler, 200 lapwings, kestrel

Town Centre Sainsbury's - Honey bee (1st report of the year)

The Great grey shrike is still in the rough bramble field just over our southern boundary along Queensway

A cold and windy weekend -1 - 5C showers and sunny spells withstrong north westerly winds

Marton Mere LNR - Firecrest, 2 goldcrests, 100 wigeon, 3 buzzards, 2 Cetti's warblers, little grebe, great spotted woodpecker, 150 coot
 
 
North Blackpool Pond Trail Kincraig Lake - 34 Magpies (roosting), 21 teal, great crested grebe
 
Saturday 31st January
 
Marton Mere LNR - Treecreeper, 2 goldcrests, 5 tree sparrows, 160 wigeon, 200 lapwing, 500 pink footed geese (over), 2 Cetti's warblers, water rail, stonechat, 2 great crested grebes 

The Great grey shrike continues to frequent the rough field along Queensway just south of our border.

New South Promenade - Limpet, 250 common scoters, 'thousands' of common sand stars & hundreds of Brittle stars among the storm wrecked shells.

A slightly cooler than average Janusry day 0 - 4C overcasat with sleety showers, brisk W wind.

Staining Nook - Bullfinch (SW)

Marton Mere LNR - 4 Pochards, water rail, kestrel, buzzard, 150 lapwings, 2 stock doves, goldcrest, 80 linnets

Lawson's Wetland - Redwing

Saturday 24th January

Marton Tesco - 55 Pied wagtails (pre roost gathering)

Marton Mere LNR - Iceland gull, redwing, 7 gadwall, 3 goldeneyes, buzzard, Cetti's warbler, snowdrops in flower

Friday 23rd January

Bond Street - Grey wagtail
