A colder day 3- 6C overcast with sleety showers. brisk WSW wind

New South Promenade - 20 Redshanks, 10 sanderlings, ringed plover

Lawson's field - 5 Mistle thrushes, 60 woodpigeons

Marton Mere LNR - Firecrest, Icceland gull, 3 Cetti's warblers, 16 fieldfares, goldcrest, 200 pink footed  geese (east fields), 3 goldeneyes, great spotted woodpecker, buzzard

Staining Nook - Jay, snipe

The Great grey shrike continues to linger just south of our southern border at Queensway
