South Pier - Yellow legged gull, a mystery isopod (now identified as Idotea linearis), 2 lion's mane jellyfish, honeycomb worm reefs, many brown shrimps, gammarid shrimps, speckled sea louse, several juvenile green shore crabs

Gynn Square - 10 Gannets, 4 eiders (N)

Saturday 25th July

Lindsay Avenue park - 5 Swifts

Butterflies: 13 Large Skippers , 14 Small Skippers, 31 Meadow Browns, 2 Gatekeepers , 2 Large Whites, 2 Speckled Woods, Small Tortoiseshell

 Moths: 4 Latticed Heaths, 2 Silver Ys, Cinnabar, 4 Narrow Bordered 5-Spot Burnets

Odonata: Brown Hawker, 2 Emperors (m & f), 4 4-Spot Chasers, 4 Azure Damselflies, 3 Blue-tailed Damselflies

Ladybirds: 2 Spot, 14 Spot, 22 Spot, 24 Spot and Water

Soldier fly: 2 Broad centurion flies (Chloromyia formosa)

Hoverflies: Marmalade, Scaevi pyrasti, Eristalis pertinax, Tropida scita, Volucella bombylans (two forms)

Dance fly: 30+ Poecilobothrus nobilitatus

Conopid: Sicus ferruginea

Narrow bordered 5-spot burnet moths on creeping thistle

Devonshire Road Rock Gardens - 2 White letter hairstreaks, >100 meadow browns, >50 large skippers, >30 small skippers, 5 speckled woods, red admiral, comma, brown hawker, 3 whiitethroats, blackcap, 2 chiffchaffs, song thrush, 3 swifts

Marton Mere LNR - 2ad + 3juv Kestrels, 3 stock doves, great spotted woodpecker, buzard

Saturday 11th July

Devonshire Road Rock Gardens - Vestal cuckoo bee (1st record for Blackpool, 2nd for Fylde), 3 white letter hairstreaks, >50 meadow browns, >25 large skippers, >20 small skippers, speckled wood, red admiral, comma, 2 swifts,2 Siskins (E), blackcap, toad, several 1st year frogs

Warbreck Hill - 3 Swifts, song thrush

Lawson's Wetland - Kestrel, sedge warbler, whitethroat, 3 reed buntings

North Blackpool Pond Trail crematorium - 5 4-spotted chasers, emperor dragonfly, good show of tubular water dropwort, excellent show of common wildflowers on unmown areas of cemetery.

Friday 10th July

Devonshire Road Rock Gardens - 2 White letter hairstreaks

Solaris Centre - Ergot fungus

New South Promenade - Grey seal

Town Centre - Sparrowhawk (over), grey wagtail

South Pier/Central Beach - Many Moon jellyfish, several compass jellyfish, Turton's wentle trap shell, several broken pieces of small edible crabs, 3 native oysters, necklace shells, sand gaper, common otter shells, 7-spot ladybird (somewhat out of habitat!)

New South Promenade - Many Brown shrimps, many common prawns, several green shore crabs, beadlet anemones, moon jellyfish, compass jellyfish

Solaris Centre - Ergot fungus, many cinnabar moth caterpilars, small tortoiseshell butterfly, 3 common darter dragonfly nymphs, blue tailed damselfly nymph
