A very mild day for mid-November 9 - 12C dull and drizzly with a brisk south westerly wind

North Shore go-kart track - 2 Purple sandpipers

North Pier - 1000 Starlings (left the roost over the traffic at 7.30am, probably a very small proportion of the whole flock)

Marton Mere LNR - Mediterranean gull, buzzard, kestrel, 2 little grebes, 75 wigeon, 70 teal, 8 linnets, 5 redwings, 3 Cetti's warblers

Stanley Park lake - Teal (very scarce here), pochard, 26 gadwall, 27 shovelers, 3 great crested grebes

Saturday 5th November

Herons Reach golf course - 20 Long tailed tits, 3 goldcrests, sparrowhawk, 2 water rails

Stanley Park - Little grebe, 3 great crested grebes, 27 gadwall, 14 shovelers
