A mixed weekend with rain, sunny spells and thick fog on Sunday but fairly mild 6 - 16C with light south easterly winds.

Sunday 1st November

Grange Park - 20 Goldfinches, goldcrest, grey wagtail

Gynn Gardens - Goldcrest, lesser redpoll

Lawson's wetland - Sparrowhawk

Gynn Jubilee Gardens - Chiffchaff, 20 meadow pipits

Stanley Park - 2 Shovelers, 3 goldcrests

Marton Mere LNR - 5 Whooper Swans, 14 linnets, 2 coal tits

Devonshire Road Rock Gardens - 2 Goldcrests, fieldfare, redwing, coal tit

Saturday 31st October

Layton - Sparrowhawk

Blackpool North railway station - Sparrowhawk

Solaris Centre - Yellowhammer (S - 1st record here)

Lawson's Wetland - Stonechat

Marton Mere LNR - Whooper swan, 2 wigeon, 8 long tailed tits

North Blackpool Pond Trail Kincraig Lake - 123 Grey lag geese, 4 teal, sparrowhawk

Friday 30th October

Marton Mere LNR - Woodcock, 1500 starlings (roosted), 6 fieldfare, 24 redwings, mistle thrush, goldcrest, 12 wigeon, 33 shovelers, 5 water rails, 3 sparrowhawks

Solaris Centre - 2 Song thrushes, wren

New South Promenade - 500 Common scoters, great crested grebe, red throated diver
