Stanley Park - 40 Swifts, great spotted woodpecker


Marton Mere LNR - 30 Swifts, 5 house martins, lesser whitethroat, willow warbler, 3 Cetti's warblers, 2 gadwall, 2 shovelers,


Recently


Norbreck beach - several very large Octopus jellyfish, many hundreds of sea gooseberries


Heron's Reach golf course - Roe deer, , many common blue damselflies, broad bodied chaser dragonfly, several marsh orchid sp


Kipling Drive fields - 100 Common spotted orchids and marsh orchid sp


North Blackpool Pond Trail Holyoake Avenue - Coelioxys elongata (a cleptoparasitic solitary bee - not previously recorded in the Fylde), Parhelophilus frutetorum (a hoverfly - no known recent records for North Lancashire)


North Blackpool Pond Trail Kincraig Lake - Grapholita lunulana (a scarce day flying micro moth, one of only two known sites in North Lancashire), cream spot ladybird, 14 spot ladybird (recorded very infrequently in the Fylde)


EVENT - World Environment Day Monday 5th June - Whale and Dolphin Watch 9.00am - 1.00pm from the Mirror Ball. No need to book, dress for the weather, bring binoculars and/or telescope if you have them. NB this event will be cancelled if there is rain or strong winds.
