An average January day 3 - 7 C, sunny all day with a brisk south easterly wind

Town Centre - 2 Pergrines

Stanley Park - Great crested grebe, great spotted woodpecker

Lawson's Wetland - 5 Snipe, jack snipe

North Pier - Grey wagtail

Mansfield Road/Devonshire Road - 4 Waxwings

Staining Nook - Raven (over), buzzard

Marton Mere LNR - 2 Woodcocks, barn owl, 3 goldeneyes, 25 shovelers, 75 fieldfares, 10 tree sparrows, water rail, 10 stock doves, great spotted woodpecker, 2 kestrels, 40 greenfinches

Recently - Woodland Gardens - Nuthatch

Wednesday 3rd & Thursday 4th August

Mild nights but average daytime temperatures 14 - 19C mostly sunny with a south westerly gale on Wednesday easy and turning westerly on Thursday

Thursday 4th August

Central Pier - Peregrine

Heron's Reach - Little grebe, 2 great crested newts (predated), brown hawker dragonfly

Marton Mere LNR - Goosander, sparrowhawk (with prey), shoveler, 2 teal, 5 red admirals, 2 gatekeeper butterflies

Starr Gate - 2 Arctic skuas (S), 530 common scoters, great crested grebe, 18 sanderlings, 6 whimbrels (S), 2 Arctic terns (S)

Wednesday 3rd August

South Pier - Peregrine

Starr Gate - Storm Petrel, 495 common scoters, 36 Manx shearwaters, 25 gannets, 3 Arctic terns (S), 4 swifts (S)

Kingscote Park - 5 Speckled wood butterflies

Marton Mere LNR - 4 Shovelers, 2 teal, 4 swifts, kestrel, great spotted woodpecker
Great crested grebe with perch - Stanley Park

EVENT - North Blackpool Pond Trail Kincraig Lake - The natural world under our feet Tuesday 9th August 10am - 12 Meet at the duck viewing area (FY2 0HN) for an amazing family fun finding out what life is beneath our feet with expert Charlie Pass. Free but donation to the Friends of North Blackpool Pond Trail would be appreciated.

Tuesday - Cold overnight -2 - 7C mostly cloudy, rain later with a light to moderate southerly breeze
Monday - A cold but bright day -1 - 5C sunny with a light north westerly wind

Tuesday 8th March

New South Promenade - Eider (S), red throated diver

Lawson's Road allotments - Fieldfare

Marton Mere LNR - Barn owl, goldcrest, 4 pochards, 9 goldeneyes, 124 wigeon, 2 great crested grebes, 6 Cetti's warblers, coal tit, 2 oystercatchers, kestrel

Town Centre - Peregrine

Blackpool North railway station - Grey wagtail

Monday 7th March

Lawson's Wetland - Barn owl, 2 jack snipe, kestrel

Marton Mere LNR - Skylark, goldcrest, little grebe, great crested grebe, 3 shelducks, 8 goldeneyes, 79 wigeon, 36 fieldfares, 7 stock doves, 25 linnets

North Shore - 5 Whooper swans (N), 21 pied wagtails (N), 10 red throated divers, 3 eiders (N), great crested grebe, 500 common scoters

New South Promenade - 300 Common scoters, great crested grebe, 3 pied wagtails (N)

Stanley Park - Great crested grebe, 30 tufted ducks, 2 long tailed tits
