A cool start to the month -1 - 10C some sunshine and heavy wintry showers with a strong westerly to north westerly wind

Stanley Park - 2 Nuthatches, coal tit, 2 gadwall, great crested grebe, great spotted woodpecker

Heron's Reach - 2 Toads, 4 bee orchid rosettes

Salisbury Woodland Garden - Goldcrest, great spotted woodpecker

North Shore - 2000 Common scoters, 2 eiders, 3 red throated divers, 2 great crested grebes, 4 kittiwakes (N), 3 curlews (N)

Marton Mere LNR - Stoat, Iceland gull, 2 oystercatchers, kestrel, great crested grebe, 25 fieldfares, 10 linnets, 3 water rails, 30 teal, 4 pochards, 3 Cetti's warblers, great spotted woodpecker, 2 bee orchid rosettes, coltsfoot (in flower).

Saturday 5th March

North Blackpool Pond Trail horse field - Little egret

Lawson's Wetland - 2 Jack snipe, 6 snipe

Plymouth Road roundabout - 55 Starlings (murmurating)

Marton Mere LNR - Great crested grebe, 9 goldeneyes, 2 oystercatchers, 5 Cetti's warblers, 25 fieldfares, 5 stock doves, sparrowhawk, skylark

Friday 4th March

Blackpool North Station - Grey wagtail

Marton Mere LNR - Iceland gull, 9 goldeneyes, 10 stock doves, 5 water rails, 3 Cetti's warblers

Thursday 3rd March

New South Promenade - Shelduck (N)

Marton Mere LNR - 2 Shelducks (N), peregrine, kestrel, sparrowhawk, 5 snipe, 2 great crested grebes, 9 goldeneyes, 10 stock doves, 2 oystercatchers, 8 tree sparrows

Clifton Cresent - 5 Curlews (N)

Wednesday 2nd March

North Blackpool Pond Trail Kincraig Lake - 3 Pochards, great crested grebe

New South Promenade - 30 Kittiwakes (N)

Tuesday 1st March
