Marton Mere LNR - 12 Chiffchaffs, blackcap, 10 Cetti's warblers, swallow, 120 sand martins, 11 gadwall, 2 sparrowhawks, peregrine, 2 shelducks, 5 goldenryes, 9 stock doves, water rail, little grebe, 2 great crested grebes, several small tortoiseshell butterflies, 2 peacocks, several snakeshead fritillaries in flower

Stanley Park - Willow warbler, blackcap, goldcrest

Preston New Road - 2 Siskins

Gynn Gardens - Chiffchaff, goldcrest

North Shore - Wheatear

Starr Gate - Grey seal, great northern diver, 2500 common scoters, 4 red throated divers, 2 red breasted mergansers, 2 eiders, Sandwich tern

North Blackpool Pond Trail Kincraig Lake - 7 Tufted ducks, teal, great crested grebe

Marton Mere LNR - Swallow, 35 sand martins, 11 stock doves, little grebe, 5 goldeneyes

Friday 1st April

Metropole Hotel - Goldcrest

North Shore - 3 Red breasted Mergansers, 2 shelducks, 3 eiders, 2 goldcrests

Marton Mere LNR - Swallow, 9 sand martins, chiffchaff, 2 great crested grebes, 2 shelducks, 15 gadwall, 4 oystercatchers, water rail

WILDLIFE EVENT - Tuesday 5th April 1pm - 3pm Wildlife recording walk at Marton Mere meet at Lawson's Road gate opposite Lancaster Road. Come along to learn what species we have and how to identify them - from birds to butterflies, orchids to dragonflies. Dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear, bring your camera and binoculars if you have them. This event is free but a donation to the Friends of Marton Mere would be appreciated.

FAMILY WILDLIFE EVENT - Monday 11th April 10am  -12.00 Animal Adaptations at Kincraig Lake viewing area FY2 0HN. How do animals survive? We'll find out in this amazing activity.
Dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear, bring your camera and binoculars if you have them. This event is free but a donation to the Friends of North Blackpool Pond Trail would be appreciated.

PRACTICAL CONSERVATION DAY - Saturday 16th April 10am - 3pm. Give volunteering at Marton Mere Nature Reserve a try and get involved with a practical conservation task. To book call 01253 478167. Please wear suitable clothing.
