Another typical January day 6 - 7C cloudy with a barely noticeable south easterly breeze

Solaris Centre - Diving beetles (possibly Colymbetes fuscus), damselfly nymphs, ramshorn snails, keeled ramshorn snails, pea mussels, backswimming water boatmen, front swimming water boatmen, water hog louse, a springtail (1st record in the pond)

Starr Gate - 35 Redshanks, 650 common scoters

Marton Mere LNR - Iceland gull, 5 goldeneyes, 5 Cetti's warblers, 3 water rails
