Sunday 6th August

Marton Mere LNR - Great crested grebe, great spotted woodpecker, kestrel

Starr Gate - Great skua, Arctic skua, 333 Sandwich terns, whimbrel (S), peregrine, great crested grebe

Gynn Square - Kestrel (S), great skua, 2 gannets (N)

Warbreck Hill - Peregrine

Saturday 5th August

Marton Mere LNR - 3 Pipistrelle bats, bittern, barn owl, 2 sparrowhawks, 1600 starlings (roosted), lesser whitethroat, 3 chiffchaffs, curlew (over), wigeon, 2 brown hawker dragonflies, moths; Gothic, fen wainscot, brimstone, large yellow underwing, lesser broad bordered yellow underwing, least yellow underwing, flame shoulder, brown china mark, common rustic, common plume, marbled beauty, ruby tiger, straw dot, mother of pearl, silver Y

Heron's Reach golf course - Little grebe

Starr Gate - Grey seal, 5 Manx shearwaters, 500 common scoters

EVENT - North Blackpool Pond Trail - Moth & Bat night - Saturday 26th August 8.00pm - Late. Meet at the bird viewing area at Kincraig Lake opposite the Spar on Kincraig Road FY2 0HN. Bring a torch and wear warm clothes - FREE
