A cold day with a frosty start 0 -  5C hazy sunshine with a light south easterly breeze
Woodland Gardens - Little egret

New South Promenade - Long tailed duck, 5 red throated divers (S), 3 razorbills, 12 dunlin, knot, grey plover

Marton Mere LNR - 2 Foxes, 2 long eared owls (Please stay on the paths and DO NOT enter the scrub to view these birds), 3 whooper swans (S), pintail, 2 goldeneyes, little grebe, 5 water rails, jay, great spotted woodpecker, 10 chaffinches, 30 fieldfares, 25 redwings, 10 long tailed tits, 2  Cetti's warblers

EVENT - Marton Mere LNR Saturday 10th December 10am - 3pm Practical conservation day. Give volunteering at the nature reserve a try, get involved with a practical conservation task. This might be removing vegetation, clearing pathways or renovating benches or hides. The day's project will be confirmed prior to the event. Free but please book at marton.mere@blackpool.gov.uk
