New South Promenade - 250 Sanderlings, 147 oystercatchers, 500 common scoters, knot, dunlin, sea slaters (tracks only)

Admiral Heights - several Flounders, several codling

Marton Mere LNR - Barn owl, firecrest, 5 Cetti's warblers

New South Promenade - 138 Oystercatchers, 30 redshanks, curlew

There are now Volunteer Days at Marton Mere LNR every Tuesday 10am - 3pm - All welcome. Wear suitable footwear and bring your lunch.

Saturday March 22nd is National Community Clear Up Day. We’ll be holding a litter pick across the site to have a spring clean. We’re meeting at 10am at the new Visitors Centre and will split up across the site from there. This is open to everyone

On Sunday 15th March there will be a BEAT NatureWatch volunteer work party at Cherry Tree (11.00am - 3.00pm) to clear the margins of the pond for amphibians and reptiles.
All welcome, wear wellies or stout boots and thick gloves, bring your lunch. Meet at Asda car park at 10.45. Please contact David McGrath david.mcgrath @ blackpool.gov.uk (without the spaces) or 01253 478023 before lunchtime on Friday if you are coming along so we know how many tools are needed.
