Catch up from last week

A week of average July daytime temperatures but slightly warmer than average nights 11 - 22C sunny spells some rain at times with a stiff south west to westerly breeze

Marton Mere LNR - 4 Snipe

Monday 20th July

Moor Park health centre - 20 Meadow browns, 6 small skippers

Sunday 19th July

Devonshire Road Rock Gardens - butterflies: White letter hairstreak, 46 small skippers, 8 large skippers, 7 gatekeepers, 65 meadow browns, 2 large whites, 2 commas, speckled wood, silver Y moth, brown hawker dragonfly, many grasshoppers

Saturday 18th July

North Blackpool Pond Trail Kincraig Lake - Common sandpiper

Friday 17th July

Town Centre - Peregrine

Starr Gate - Arctic skua, 40 Manx shearwater, 2 tufted ducks

Thursday 16th July

Park Road - 2 Oystercatchers (over)

Warbreck Hill - 5 Swifts

St Walberga's Road - 12 Swifts

Volunteer Days at Marton Mere LNR are now every Tuesday 10am - 3pm - All welcome. Wear suitable footwear and bring your lunch.
