Very mild for late October 11- 14C mostly dull and cloudy with a light  variable wind.

Sunday 30th October

Marton Mere LNR - Otter, 3 bitterns, 2 bearded tits, 5 swallows, 11000 starlings (roosted), 10 Cetti's warblers, jay, chiffchaff, 3 goldcrests, buzzard, sparrowhawk, 2 kestrels, 200 coot, 61 tufted ducks, 52 shovlers, 5 wigeon, little grebe, 20 redwings, 7 fieldfares, 13 stock doves, 99 pink footed geese, 16 snipe, 22 skylarks

Warbreck Hill - several Redwings (heard flying over at night)

Starr Gate - 3 Harbour porpoises, 39 red throated divers, 39 great crested grebes, 2 wigeon, eider, 2 whooper swans, 5 razorbills, 2 guillemots, 5 tufted ducks, 1500 common scoters, 2 rock pipits

Saturday 29th October

Marton Mere LNR - 4 Bearded tits, 3 blackcaps, 4 Cetti's warblers, little grebe, 2 poxhards, 6 water rails, 63 pink footed geese, 23 snipe, 25 redwings, goldcrest, redshank (E),

Poulton Old Road - Yellow  browed warbler

Friday 28th October

Marton Mere LNR - 2 Bitterns, goosander (W), blackcap, goldcrest, 4 Cetti's warblers, 4 water rails, little grebe, 14 pink footed geese

Thursday 27th October

North Blackpool Pond Trail Kincraig Lake - Great spotted woodpecker, 12 teal, 3 shovelers

Marton Mere LNR - 2 Mediterranean gulls, 60 shovelers, 4 wigeon, 4 wigeon, 30 teal, little grebe

EVENT - North Blackpool Pond Trail - Tuesday 1st Nov 10am - 12 noon - Autumn Explorer - Children's Activity. Your chance to find out about hibernation and how you can help wildlife during the winter.
