A cool start then warm for early October 5 - 19C sunny long spells increasing cloud later with a moderate south easterly breeze

Pleasure Beach/Railway - Yellow browed warbler

Heron's Reach - Buzzard

Gynn Gardens - 3 Coal tits, blackcap, sparrowhawk

De Vere's Hotel - 3 Redwings (E)

Solaris Centre - 2 Pied wagtails, small white, red admiral butterflies

Marton Mere - Whitethroat (very late record), peregrine, sparrowhawk, kestrel, shelduck, 35 teal, 2 pochards

New South Promenade - 2 Grey seals, 5 eiders (S), 2 rooks (very scarce here), 11 carrion crows (in off the sea with the rooks)
