A very mild day for October 9 - 17 C mostly sunny with a strong easterly wind

Solaris Centre - Wren, red admiral, small white butterflies

New South Promenade - 250 Common scoters, great crested grebe, red throated diver, razorbill, 3 pied wagtails, red admiral butterfly (in off the sea from a long way out)

Staining Nook - Cetti's warbler, great spotted woodpecker

North Blackpool Pond Trail Kincraig Lake - Yellow browed warbler, goldcrest, shoveler, 31 teal

Pleasure Beach/Railway - Chiffchaff

Marton Mere LNR - Barn owl, little grebe, 10 gadwalls, water rail, great spotted woodpecker, water rail

EVENT - North Blackpool Pond Trail - Tuesday 1st Nov 10am - 12 noon - Autumn Explorer - Children's Activity. Your chance to find out about hibernation and how you can help wildlife during the winter. Free but donation to the Friends of the North Blackpool Pond Trail appreciated. Meet at the Community Orchard, Runcorn Avenue FY2 0PS
