Another very cold day for late April 2 - 9C sunny with a bitingly cold moderate north west wind

Lawson's Wetland - 2 Grasshopper warblers, Cetti's warbler, sparrowhawk, blackcap

Lawson Road allotments - Cetti's warbler

Heron's Reach - Grasshopper warbler

Staining Nook - Grasshopper warbler, Cetti's warbler, peacock, green veined white , small tortoiseshell, speckled wood, orange tip butterflies

Stanley Park - 10 Swallows, 8 house martins, 2 great crested grebes

Warbreck Hill - Chiffchaff

Starr Gate - Goosander (N), 2 red breasted mergansers (N), 16 eiders (S), 21 red throated divers (N), 42 Sandwich terns (N), 11 auk sp (N), 2 gannets (N)

Marton Mere LNR - 2 Grasshopper warblers, 3 sedge warblers, 2 Cetti's warblers, whitethraot, lesser whitethroat, wheatear, black tailed godwit, oystercatcher, lapwing, buzzard, 2 great crested grebes

EVENT - The Friends of North Blackpool Pond Trail are holding a Family Bird Bingo birdwatching morning on Saturday 6th May 10am - 12 noon. Meet at the Bird Viewing Area at Kincraig Lake opposite the Spar shop on Kincraig Road. Bring binoculars and camera if you have them.
This event is FREE but a donation to the Friends of North Blackpool Pond Trail would be welcome
