Cool at night average during the day 7 - 19C mostly sunny spells with light westerly winds

North Blackpool Pond Trail Kincraig Lake - Shoveler, teal, 75 mallards

Warbreck Hill - 5 Swallows (N)

Ssaturday 8th August

Marton Mere LNR - Sparrowhawk, ad + juv great crested grebe, 5 stock doves, 16 linnets, 500 starlings

Starr Gate - Bottlenose dolphin (S), 85 Sandwich terns, 4 great crested grebes

Devonshire Road Rock Gardens - butterflies: 2 White letter hairstreaks, 10 meadow browns, 6 gatekeepers, 3 speckled woods, 6 small skippers, large skipper, 3 large whites; brown hawker dragonfly, Orphion wasp, sparrowhawk ad + juv (food-pass)

Warbreck Hill - moths: Lychnis, lesser broad bordered yellow underwing, marbled beauty, dark arches.
