Starr Gate - 5 Arctic skuas, Pomarine skua, Great skua, 100 gannets, 151 kittiwakes, 3 Manx shearwaters, common sandpiper (S), 3 teal (S)

Marton Mere LNR - 23 Shovelers, 2 sand martins adult + juvenile great crested grebe, many common blue butterflies.

Marton Mere LNR - 2 Garganeys, green sandpiper, common sandpiper, garden warbler, lesser whitethroat, Cetti's warbler, 2 buzzards, kestrel, great spotted woodpecker, butterflies: 2 small coppers, 5 common blues, peacock, dragonflies: several common darters, several migrant hawkers, several brown hawkers.

Starr Gate - Velvet scoter, 3 fulmars (N), 32 gannets, whimbrel, 2 Arctic skuas, great skua (S), 39 kittiwakes (S), 350 Sandwich terns, 120 swallows (S)

Marton Mere LNR - 2 Garganeys, 5 shovelers

Lawson's field - Butterflies: Painted lady, many peacocks

Saturday 22nd August

Marton Mere LNR - Garden warbler, 2 lesser whitethroats, 2 Cetti's warblers, 5 chiffchaffs, 2 garganeys, 7 shovelers, common sandpiper, water rail

Marton - 2 Whimbrels (over)

Starr Gate - 1200 Common scoters, red throated diver, 37 gannets, 6 Arctic skuas, 350 Sandwich terns

Friday 20th August

Marton Mere LNR - 2 Green sandpipers, 6 stock doves, water rail, 12 long tailed tits, shoveler, gadwall, great spotted woodpecker, sparrowhawk, 2 Cetti's warblers

Saturday 15th August

Warbreck Hill - moths: Light arches, six striped rustic

Marton Mere LNR - 3 Green sandpipers, curlew (over), water rail, 29 tufted ducks, 6 stock doves, 15 linnets

Stanley Park - Common blue butterfly

Friday 14th August

North Pier - 7 Barrel jellyfish (harmless)

Marton Mere LNR - 4 Gadwall, 5 shovelers, 29 tufted ducks, 6 stock doves

Thursday 13th August

Starr Gate - 309 Sandwich terns, 11 common terns, Arctic terns, 24 kittiwakes (N), 94 sanderlings (S), 3 great crested grebes

Kingscote Park - Hetrotoma planicornis (a true bug - 4th Blackpool record - no other records in north Lancashire!), many common froghoppers, brown hawker dragonfly, butterflies: holly blue, 3 speckled woods, several white sp, meadow brown, cinnabar moth caterpillars, many wolf spiders,

Tachinid fly - note the spines at the rear of the abdomen

Starr Gate - Bottlenose dolphin (S), 85 Sandwich terns, 4 great crested grebes

Devonshire Road Rock Gardens - butterflies: 2 White letter hairstreaks, 10 meadow browns, 6 gatekeepers, 3 speckled woods, 6 small skippers, large skipper, 3 large whites; brown hawker dragonfly, Orphion wasp, sparrowhawk ad + juv (food-pass)

Warbreck Hill - moths: Lychnis, lesser broad bordered yellow underwing, marbled beauty, dark arches.

Devonshire Road Rock Gardens - 3 speckled woods, 2 large whites, 2 small skippers, several meadow browns, grass veneer moths,  honey bees, common carder bees, queen white tailed bumble bee, red soldier beetles, 2 juvenile toads, sparrowhawk

Sunday 2nd August

Warbreck Hill - Peregrine, moths: grey dagger, scalloped oak, clay, marbled beauty, dark arches

Devonshire Road Rock Gardens - 2 white letter hairstreaks

Gynn Square - Grey seal, bar tailed godwit (S), curlew (S), 8 golden plovers (S), 1500 common scoters

Jubille Gardens - Goldcrest
