A little below average temperatures for mid-March 4 - 8C feeling cold with heavy hail showers in the morning sunny later with a strong but decreasing south westerly veering southerly

Marton Mere LNR - Otter, 4 sand martins, 50 teal, 3 great crested grebes, lapwing, 2 buzzards, 7 stock doves, 3 Cetti's warblers

Lawson's Wetland - Marsh marigolds (in flower), 6 meadow pipits

Herron's Reach - Cowslips (in flower)

Stanley Park - Chough, 3 goldcrests, chiffchaff

Starr Gate - 2 Gannets (S), fulmar (N), 2 wigeons (S)

WILDLIFE EVENT - Family Easter holiday rockpooling event at the Solaris Centre Friday 7th April 2pm – 3pm near the Mirror Ball. Meet at the Solaris Centre, wear wellies or old shoes you don’t mind getting wet. Bring a net and bucket if you have them, a fine meshed net is best.
This event is FREE.
