A mild day for late march but feeling cool in the breeze early on  2 - 12 some sunshine, showers later with a moderate quickly decreasing south easterly breeze

New South Promenade - Danish scurvy grass (a good display of this salt tolerant wildflower (not a grass!) opposite the Pleasure Beach)

Solaris Centre - 3 Goldfinches (very scarce here so far this year), buff tailed bumble bee

North Shore cliffs - 3 Wheatears

Gynn Gardens - Redwing, chiffchaff

Jubilee Gardens - Chiffchaff, goldcrest

Devonshire Road - Lesser celandine (a good display of this wildflower north of the railway bridge)

Beechfield Avenue - Peregrine (NW)

Lawson's Wetland - Snipe

Marton Mere LNR - 35 Sand martins, willow warbler, 7 chiffchaffs, 5 Cetti's warblers, little grebe, 2 great crested grebe, 22 shovelers, 2 buzzards, 3 sparrowhawks, 2 water rails
Lesser celandine

WILDLIFE EVENT - Family Easter holiday rockpooling event at the Solaris Centre Friday 7th April 2 - 3pm near the Mirror Ball. Meet at the Solaris Centre, wear wellies or old shoes you don’t mind getting wet. Bring a net and bucket if you have them, a fine meshed net is best.
This event is FREE.
