Weeekend 10th - 12th March

A mild weekend 5 - 12C mixed weather, sunny spells, cloud and  rain at times with a light south easterly breeze turning westerly by Sunday afternoon

Sunday 12th March

Lawson's Wetland - 2 Cetti's warblers, water rail

Marton Mere LNR - Snipe, little grebe, 2 great crested grebes, 3 goldeneyes, 75 teal, 45 wigeon, 30 shovelers, 7 Cetti's warblers, kestrel, 5 fieldfares, 2 goldcrests

Warbreck Hill - Red valerian (coming into flower very early for this species)

Blackpool Airport - 9 Curlews

Saturday 10th March

Starr Gate - Velvet scoter, 750 common scoters, 12 eiders (S), 2 tufted ducks (S)

Lawson's Wetland - Stonechat

Marton Mere LNR - 2 Sand martins, 3 great crested grebes, 2 goldeneyes, 25 shovelers, 2 oystercatchers, 5 Cetti's warblers, 4 water rails

Warbreck Hill - Tree bee, buff tailed bumble bee

Friday 10th March

Starr Gate - 13 Whooper swans (NE), 21 redshanks, 8 eiders, 4 red breasted mergansers, grey wagtail

Marton Mere LNR - 50 Teal, 26 shovelers, 2 great crested grebe, 2  goldeneyes, pochard, 2 oystercatchers, 5 water rails, 5 Cetti's warblers

Lawson's Wetland - 2 Stonechats

Warbreck Hill - Buff tailed bumble bee
