A slightly warmer than average day 13 - 20C muggy and mostly cloudy, drizzle later with a light southerly wind

Warbreck Hill - Oystercatcher (over - very rare here only 3 in last 5 years)

Heron's Reach - 2 Curlews (on ground), 30 long tailed tits, 3 song thrushes (recent fledglings), 2 little grebes + 3 juvs, great spotted woodpecker, swift, sparrowhawk (with prey), 2 meadow brown butterflies

Marton - Pipistrelle bat, gatekeeper butterfly

Marton Mere LNR - Bittern, Cetti's warbler, water rail, snipe, teal, kestrel, sparrowhawk, great crested grebe + juv, swift

Town Centre - 2 Peregrines

New South Promenade - 5 Grey seals, 75 Sandwich terns

EVENT - North Blackpool Pond Trail Kincraig Lake - The natural world under our feet Tuesday 9th August 10am - 12 Meet at the duck viewing area (FY2 0HN) for an amazing family fun finding out what life is beneath our feet with expert Charlie Pass. Free but donation to the Friends of North Blackpool Pond Trail would be appreciated.
